About Us

Serving the Greater La Crosse Area since 1955

My grandfather, Julius Raatz, started repairing cars in LaCrosse in 1945. My father, Leslie Jacobson came to LaCrosse in 1955 from Spring Grove, MN and started Jacobson Auto Body at 1619 Chase Street. In 1981 Vince Schaller, who ran a frame and alignment shop next door retired, and his business was purchased resulting in Schaller/Jacobson Collision and Alignment Repair. We had 4 employees.

  • In 1995 the business expanded to 12 employees and relocated to our new facility on 4115 Mormon Coulee Rd.
  • The mechanical building at 4131 Mormon Coulee Road (next door) was added in 2000. This location added 4 full time employees.
  • This allowed Schaller/Jacobson to do all aspects of auto repair, mechanical, collision, and alignment.
  • One year later, 2001 Schaller/Jacobson purchased Noffke Body Shop in Onalaska. It was run as Noffke until 2010. Then incorporated it as Schaller/Jacobson. We have 12 employees at that location

Andrea Curtis

A lifelong resident of the LaCrosse area and daughter of the founder of Schaller Jacobson, it was only a matter of time before I was working in the family business. Since 1994, I have held the position as administrative assistant and accounts payable representative. I’m thought of as the official greeter, addressing the customers as they arrive and assisting them in their needs at that time.

I am married and a mother of three “not so small” children – two daughters and a son. I enjoy being a part of each of their lives and enjoy every opportunity they give me to do so. My daughters still reside in this area; however, my son ventured west and is currently a resident of the great State of Colorado. Our family vacations usually include a visit to see him each year!

My husband and I own a Harley Davidson and a collectable Chevrolet Corvette which we try to take out as many weekends as possible. I enjoy getting out and about the beautiful coutryside where we live. I truly believe that we live in one of the most vibrant areas in the world!

Other interests include woodworking, scrapbooking, and knitting. No matter what, I like to keep busy, busy, busy!

I starated in the automotive industry in 1973. Was a technician at Claason Pontiac for 6 years. I also owned my own body shop for 17 years. This is my 16th year working at Schaller Jacobson. I have been married for 36 years and have 2 sons that live in West Salem. I enjoy family time, sports and NASCAR racing.

A resident of the LaCrosse and surrounding area since 1983, I came to Lacrosse as a student at Viterbo University. While subsidizing school costs, I began working at a local dealership. Here is where my life took the unplanned, yet welcomed change…Mr Right just happened to work at the dealership as well, and what can I say??? He’s kept me grounded in a beautiful community with a lot of wonderful family, friends and aquaintances.

This “settling” moved me into seeking a different, full time position in the dealership. I began working as an office assistant in the collision center while still at the dealership and was promoted to assistant manager. In 1998, I was hired as Repair Process Manager at Schaller Jacobson Collision, a position that I still hold to this day.

After entering the collision repair industry, I have kept involved with personal continuing edcation through I-CAR, been involved in CSACTA (Central States Automobile Collision Technicians Association), retaining the presidential position for 8 years, and also became a trained CE Instructor for members of the insurance industry.

I am very “family” oriented. Between sibllings, children, nieces, nephews, and even grandchildren, theres seldom a slow weekend. Whether its a movie, sporting event or just “bumming” around (as I put it), we like to have frequent contact with one another.

Outside of this, hobbies include scrapbooking, amateur photography, party planning, trying new recipes and/or crafts, wine tasting, and whatever other interesting things come my way. I enjoy “dates” with my husband and best friend whether dinner, a movie, or a cruise in his 1972 Plymouth Cuda.
